How Can I Prevent Bad Breath?

Bad breath can really get you down, but there are several steps you can take to prevent it. Check out these four ways you can help prevent bad breath:

#1 Practice good oral hygiene daily.

Brush your teeth at least twice per day and floss at last once per day. In addition, using mouthwash regularly can fortify your oral hygiene. These health habits can help prevent bad breath.

#2 Visit your dentist regularly.

By visiting your dentist at least twice per year and in between if you encounter any complications, you can help minimize and even prevent oral issues, including bad breath.

#3 Stop unhealthy oral habits.

Namely, stop bad habits such as smoking or chewing tobacco. These are two examples of habits that have unhealthy impacts on your body, including your teeth. In addition to more serious health problems, these habits can also lead to bad breath.

#4 Drink sufficient water each day.

By drinking proper amounts of water each day, you can keep your body hydrated and clear away food debris that may be contributing to bad breath.
